New Management? Now the fish are really jumpin'!

Something Fishy!
A little fishy (probably a whiting) told me that Vance Courson, new manager for Ocean Crest Pier is just what the Dr. ordered to get things back on track, and get the fish jumpin’ at Ocean Crest Pier.

Best Bait on the Pier
If you haven't already met Vance, then most likely, you haven't been back to the pier this season. Well, what are you waiting for?  Get out your gear and come see what's happening at Ocean Crest Pier. You won’t be disappointed.

Who's Vance Courson?
Vance Courson, a transplant from the hot "A", that's Hotlanta (Atlanta, GA) to all you familiar with the South. Vance is the new pier manager ready to make positive changes and many friends. Asked what changes will he make, and he responds, "The only drastic changes I need to make that are critical to retaining the OCP community and success of this pier, is to ensure that everyone who walks through the door is greeted with a firm handshake, a big smile and plenty of one-liners that are sure to make you laugh", said Vance. Vance brings over 10 years experience in customer service, sales, and business administration. With a can-do attitude, and a personal and comedic style you've got to see to love, Vance is dedicated to his new community of anglers, the pier, and creating a unique experience for visitors.

Bait and Hook-Not Bait and Switch
Due to some much-needed changes at the pier, we are currently undergoing reorganization of management, products and services, events, maintenance and cleanup, and even a new Web site to better serve our local community and out of town guests. We continue to offer locals and visitors that down-home, southern experience they’ve grown to love. Our main focus is to provide a community of fun, safety, and a calendar packed full of events, spectacular fishing, and activities guaranteed to leave you with sand between your toes.

Thanks Ocean Crest Pier Community
We appreciate your patience as we continue to make OCP a place you can always come home to. A place you're sure to find the "biggest one yet"!

  1. My husband and I met the new management during our honeymoon/yearly fishing vacation. I felt the new management was very nice. At first I didn't know what to think but after a few days of fishing things were good. I do like how they were going up and down the pier taking food and drink orders. That was nice. We just hope in the future, that the parking lot gets worked on/expanded. We look forward to our next trip to the pier.
