Rebel King Tournament Off To a Screaming Start

Rebels On Deck 6am
Anchor lines were humming like birds-in-the-wind at the end of the pier Thursday. This was a tale-tale sign that our Rebel King Tournament would kick off screaming. And it did!
Anxious rebels rolled into OCP parking lot with coffee, fish carts, and camaraderie in tow. Competitive spirits started after the ball draw. Fishing began around 9am. The best is yet to come.
Rumor has it when the lines sing loud enough the night before you know the Kings are on their way!

Changes to Coastal Recreational Fishing Regulations

Anglers Should Note Changes to NC's Coastal Recreational Fishing Regulations

MOREHEAD CITY – Recreational fishing season is fast upon us, and fishermen should be aware of new size and bag limits and seasons that have gone into effect for North Carolina coastal waters since last summer.
Flounder
On Feb. 21, the minimum size limit increased to 15 inches and the daily bag limit decreased to six fish per person in all coastal waters of the state.
The N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission agreed to the change after a 2009 stock assessment found that while the southern flounder stock has improved since 2005, ...check out the rest of N.C.'s Marine Fisheries Story here... http://www.ncfisheries.net/fisheye/2011FishEyeNews/05_RecreationalChanges.htm
